EN:
Work, play, rest, dream and forget.
The exhibitions pieces are an undercurrent to the meaningfulness in life and the pursuit of it. A humble critic of our self-centeredness.
Tiina Vehkaperä (b. 1982) is a Finnish sculptor who expands her work into light art, performance and environmental art. Vehkaperä brings the viewer to the realm of art to see familiarity in a different way. She often observes the core of everyday surplus of found materials, bringing these materials into the context of contempory time and consepts. She focuses on new materials and techniques in her works. At the heart of Vehkaperä’s works is the understanding of being in the world and difficulty of it.
The exhibition is part of the Oulu2026 cultural program and cultural climate change and has had funding from the City of Oulu and The Finnish Cultural Foundation.
